WordPress default username is “admin” and many bloggers are not aware of the potential security using it. Since hackers already have your username, it will make it easier for them to find your password using brute forcing. Especially, if you are not using any login attempt security, you might end up losing your WordPress blog access.
If you have a WordPress username set to “admin,” change it immediately.
Though even you’re not using ‘admin’ username, there are tons of login attempts with it. And with following codes added to your
functions.php, it will prevent such attempts.
